This Privacy Policy describes how the PDF Viewer application (hereinafter - the Application, we) handles your information. PDF Viewer is a PDF reader and markup tool designed to keep your documents on your device. We do not require an account, we do not collect your personal data, and we do not show ads or track you. The Application works locally: your files, annotations, and settings never leave your device.
1.1. All of your data — the PDF documents you open, your annotations and markup, the list of recently opened files, and your settings — is stored locally on your device. This data is not uploaded to any server and is not accessible to us.
1.2. Copies, exports, and modified PDF files are created only when you explicitly request them, and the resulting file is handed to the destination you choose (for example, the iOS share sheet). We never receive a copy of your documents.
1.3. Deleting the Application from your device deletes all locally stored data, including your documents and annotations.
2.1. To open and display your documents, the Application accesses PDF files that you choose through the system document picker or the Files app. The Application opens documents in place and reads them only when you request it.
2.2. The Application may access your photo library, with your permission, for a single purpose: inserting an image you select into a document as an annotation. Photos are accessed only at your explicit request and are not collected, uploaded, or shared.
3.1. The read-aloud feature uses your device's built-in text-to-speech (provided by the operating system) to read the text of a document aloud. This is an output feature only: the Application does not record, store, or transmit any audio.
4.1. If the Application offers paid features or subscriptions, all purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment details — such as your card number or billing address. You can view, manage, or cancel a subscription at any time in your App Store account settings.
4.2. Because it is the App Store's responsibility to resolve refund issues, we may share anonymous information about your use of the Application with Apple Inc. in connection with refund requests.
6.1. Your data lives only on your device and is retained until you delete it or remove the Application. Because we do not operate servers for the Application, deleting the Application deletes your data entirely.
7.1. The Application is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8.1. Because your data remains on your device, it is protected by your device's operating system security, including device encryption when enabled. The Application does not transmit your documents over the network.
9.1. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is posted on this page, and the date of the latest revision is indicated at the top. Continued use of the Application after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
10.1. If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how your data is handled, please contact us through the Apple App Store from which you downloaded the Application: use the App Support link on the Application's product page, or the Report a Problem feature in your App Store account. Refund requests are handled directly by the App Store.
